About the Role

Responsibilities
- Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.
- Develop and maintain client, architect, design community, and trade relationships.
- Oversee processes for reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Solicit vendor pricing for project estimates and budgets.
- Develop and issue bid packages to vendors and assess bids against contractual requirements.
- Assess vendor contract terms and coordinate review with project executives.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to develop and evaluate procurement schedules.
- Manage lump sum/GMP/Cost Plus bids and estimates.
- Perform design assist/design build functions.
- Manage and oversee the Value Engineering process during preconstruction.
- Generate, coordinate, and manage Budget Control Reports.
- Coordinate and review the development of General Conditions/General Requirements estimates.
- Provide guidance related to purchasing, product, technical, and supply chain to project teams.
- Coordinate with operations teams to support Launch Matrix preparation and estimating milestones.
- Complete Constructability Reviews for Launch Matrix.
- Coordinate with Lean Manager to develop and execute Pull Plans.
- Serve as advisor and subject matter expert for assigned SourceBlue core products.
- Conduct market research for upcoming work.
- Maintain local and national historical estimating data and develop cost trends.
- Perform other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field of study.
- Minimum of 7 years of building construction experience required, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience with a variety of building construction types.
- Thorough understanding of drawings and specifications, general contract and subcontract documents, construction materials, means, and methods.
- Ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of estimating documents.
- Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques, and accounting principles.
- Ability to develop client relationships, identify sales opportunities, and collaborate on solutions to secure work.
- Extensive knowledge of construction regional market, competition, and industry trends.
- Able to manage high volumes of work and ability to move projects forward in a complex environment in a timely manner.
- Negotiation skills with ability to influence and engage others.
- Effectively work across levels within the organization.
- Pursues everything with energy, drive and sees initiatives through to completion.
- Process and critical thinking skills with sound judgment in decision-making.
- Ability to leverage continuous improvement concepts, methodologies, and tools.
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Significant experience in desired discipline.
- Basic experience in other MEP and Architectural/Structural design and procurement.
