About the Role
Langan is seeking a CAD Support Specialist to join its collaborative Design Technologies Team. This individual will serve a key function in providing level-one technical support in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering technologies, with the opportunity to work with top industry leadership in a continuous learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline, first-level technical support for AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related engineering technologies, focusing on customer service and responsiveness.
- Be readily available by phone, messaging service, and email to answer technical software questions, troubleshoot software issues, and guide end-users to practical solutions.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of training materials, including presentations and e-learning content.
- Work closely with Design Technology professionals to guide others and promote the use of various engineering technologies Firm-wide.
- Document answers to common technical support questions and solutions to recurring issues.
- Update and maintain the contents of the CAD Helpdesk Wiki and other online resources.
- Remain current with technological advances in the industry and identify technologies that may be of interest to the Firm.
- Identify interesting projects, perform necessary research, and present findings to the Design Technologies team.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Engineering Technology or similar.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Expert in AutoCAD drafting and drawing production.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software issues.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and related software such as Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to travel between Langan’s offices with a valid driver’s license in good standing.
