About the Role

Spectrum Health & Human Services partners with individuals to support their recovery from behavioral, emotional, mental health, and substance-related disorders by providing meaningful opportunities for hope, empowerment, and support to achieve self-defined quality of life improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support services to Nursing Services.
  • Demonstrate agency core values in daily activities.
  • Work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Effectively use technology and appropriate support.
  • Provide compassionate patient support and care during office visits.
  • Coordinate daily office activities, greet individuals, and check them in for appointments.
  • Gather data, document information in EMR, and report concerns to nursing leadership.
  • Obtain and record vital signs.
  • Draw blood as needed, when fully trained.
  • Assist with managing medline calls and obtain necessary information for nursing staff.
  • Maintain contact with individuals to ensure medline request outcomes are completed.
  • Maintain a central reference point for medline issues for updates/status changes.
  • Obtain prior authorizations.
  • Obtain PMP documentation for medication review.
  • Look up HealtheLink documents as requested.
  • Perform clinical activities as assigned.
  • Perform data/spreadsheet tasks, faxing, scanning, etc., for information flow.
  • Run reports as requested by Nursing leadership.

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences; work and have access to helpful adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services.
  • Possess skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Respect for individuals' rights and personal preference in treatment are essential.
  • Work effectively on multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Present a strong professional image.
  • Exercise exceptionally good judgment.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Possess a personal vehicle for job requirements.
