About the Role

Join Beano Brain, a leading insights agency, as a Qualitative Insight Executive. This role offers the opportunity to develop your career in the research industry, making an impact across research design, project setup, fieldwork, analysis, and reporting. You will be supported and mentored by an experienced team, contributing to high-quality, thought-provoking insight work for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage and coordinate client projects, including cost collation, proposal preparation, project setup, and supplier management.
  • Prepare recruitment briefs and review screeners.
  • Oversee recruitment progression for qualitative research projects.
  • Participate in client meetings and the briefing and proposal process.
  • Contribute to the design of insight projects, including drafting sections of client proposals.
  • Support the preparation, management, and execution of ad hoc research projects from initiation to completion.
  • Draft pre-tasks and discussion guides for qualitative research methods.
  • Manage and run online qualitative approaches for clients, including drafting and uploading online community guides.
  • Proficiently use digital interviewing platforms (e.g., Zoom).
  • Moderate fieldwork with various audiences, including individual depth interviews, mini groups, and co-creation sessions.
  • Assist in drafting insightful and persuasive presentations for clients.
  • Provide support in analysis and writing debriefs, creating persuasive and action-inspiring presentations.
  • Present discrete parts of insight presentations to clients with senior team support.

Requirements

  • Applies qualitative and mixed-method research practices to support research design, delivery, and interpretation.
  • Uses structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, themes, and insights.
  • Applies research methods in a planned and ethical way.
  • Coordinates project activity, documentation, trackers, meetings, supplier actions, and fieldwork logistics.
  • Uses agreed research platforms, digital interviewing tools, online community tools, AI tools, templates, and reporting methods.
  • Applies responsible AI and data ethics principles.
  • Provides responsive, accurate, and professional support to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience or strong applied interest in qualitative research with kids, teens, parents, and families.
  • Previous experience working in a research agency.
  • Experience moderating and supporting interviews, focus groups, mini groups, online communities, or co-creation sessions.
  • Experience preparing or contributing to screeners, recruitment briefs, pre-tasks, discussion guides, fieldwork materials, analysis outputs, and client presentations.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, digital meeting tools, and online research platforms.
  • Interest in youth culture, family audiences, brands, media, entertainment, consumer behavior, and cultural trends.
  • Awareness of ethical research practice, safeguarding considerations, consent, data protection, and responsible use of AI in insight work.
  • Experience of working on integrated qualitative and quantitative insight projects.
  • Experience working with kids, able to build quick rapport.
  • Expertise in a specific area of youth culture and/or families.
  • Experience working on mixed quant/qual projects.
  • Experience in, or interest and curiosity of, using AI to conduct research analysis.
  • Seeks to understand what kids, teens, parents, and clients really mean.
  • Tests better ways to collect, analyze, and present insight, including appropriate use of AI and automation.
  • Takes responsibility for assigned deliverables, deadlines, and quality.
  • Works openly with project leads, fieldwork teams, suppliers, clients, and wider portfolio colleagues.
