About the Role
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for our application hosted in the APAC region. This role supports a newly onboarded client and is responsible for high availability leveraged applications used by internal applications and external facing APIs, serving major banking clients in Australia. You will focus on scalability, high availability, performance, stability, and reliability of software applications, build automations to simplify operations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure positive end-user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Focusing on scalability, high availability, performance, stability and reliability of software applications
- Build automations to simplify operations and processes
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure positive end user experiences
- Apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline and mature automation to our operating environment and codebase
- Cluster upgrade, Patching, DR exercise (Cluster, Storage Account, and other services)
- Create KQL queries for different use cases to extract data from log analytics
Requirements
- At least 2 to 5 years’ experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role
- Experience working on cloud-based infrastructure e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Strong Knowledge in Tools like Azure Metrics, log Analytics, Cloud Watch, Cloud Guard and ability to create Dashboards and Alerts.
- Good experience in Linux commands.
- Good experience in Kubernetes Management, Deployment strategies and best practices.
- Ability to Automate repetitive tasks (using Scripting / automation tools)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Knowledge in DevOPS (CI/CD) and relevant tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOPS)
- Strong knowledge in shell script development
- Experience in Cluster upgrade, Patching, DR exercise (Cluster, Storage Account, and other services)
- Ability to create KQL queries for different use cases to extract data from log analytics.
- Strong knowledge in Helm and helm development
- Knowledge in tools like Jira, Bitbucket and confluence
