About the Role
This 6-month placement offers the opportunity to work directly on AI Development projects supporting Finance, Operations, Risk, Trading, and Portfolio Management. You will write production code, ship features, and own deliverables from day one, gaining real engineering experience and a foundation for a career in tech.
Responsibilities
- Add features to our AI platform
- Develop backend services
- Build LLM pipelines
- Improve our RAG engine
- Own specific projects end to end (design, development, implementation, review)
- Design and train models for firm-wide use cases (for those with interest and aptitude in machine learning)
Requirements
- Strong coding ability, ideally in Python
- Demonstrated interest or coursework in Machine Learning and AI (through personal projects & research)
- Curiosity about financial markets (no prior finance experience required)
- Candidates who have already covered AI/ML topics in their studies
- Candidates who can demonstrate genuine technical depth in AI/ML
- Prior project work or coursework in machine learning will be an advantage, particularly personal projects showing interest
