About the Role

The Specialty Travel & Events Business Operations team addresses critical, emergent challenges across business, product, and operations. As a Senior Manager, you will scope, design, and lead high-impact initiatives to drive business growth, optimization, and stability. This role requires a first-principles thinker who can analyze complex business challenges, map interconnections, and design elegant solutions. You will critically evaluate business operations, use data to challenge assumptions, and drive strategic execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own high-impact, 0-to-1 operational initiatives end-to-end.
  • Investigate complex, ambiguous problems, develop rigorous work plans, define strategy, and drive execution.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and design scalable processes for seamless cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Analyze raw business data to reveal patterns and translate findings into actionable recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Anticipate roadblocks and align with leadership to balance strategic business goals with technical or financial constraints.
  • Communicate progress clearly, manage executive alignment, and guide cross-functional teams through process changes.
  • Anticipate technical bottlenecks, identify trade-offs, and keep teams aligned and moving forward.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in business operations or a highly strategic cross-functional operations role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong comfort with data, highly proficient in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Comfortable using SQL (or eager to leverage it) to query databases, join tables, and extract insights.
  • BA or BS degree (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Ability to intuitively see how different parts of an organization, workflow, and technology stack interconnect.
  • Design systems that hold complex, interdependent relationships in balance.
  • Approach problems with intellectual humility and curiosity, challenging initial assumptions.
  • Actively seek diverse perspectives to find the best solution.
  • Energized by messy, fragmented data; able to ask the right questions, connect the dots, and find the narrative within a raw dataset.
  • Move quickly and decisively, maintaining focus and keeping projects moving forward.
  • Collaborative and growth-minded, thriving in challenging environments.
  • Prior experience in business operations or strategic program management in a high-growth tech environment.
  • Experience driving organizational change management alongside system or process rollouts.
