About the Role
The Product Manager is responsible for achieving sales and profit targets for assigned product groups, maximizing returns for TD SYNNEX and vendors. This sales enablement role focuses on marketing programs, sales training, sales support, technical pre-sales support, and vendor contract and relationship management, targeting both the TD SYNNEX sales team and the partner community.
Responsibilities
- Create business plans for vendor product groups and associated services.
- Develop and implement sales enablement programs for TD SYNNEX and partners.
- Ensure technical sales support teams are trained to support relevant product groups.
- Develop and implement marketing programs to support product group objectives.
- Create joint initiatives with vendor and business partners.
- Plan for inventory turns, fulfillment, and minimization of obsolescence.
- Implement business plans to achieve vendor revenue targets and profit outcomes.
- Achieve revenue plans by brand and market segment.
- Coordinate internal TD SYNNEX functions to deliver product plan outcomes.
- Maintain executive business relations with vendor partners, ensuring proactivity and monitoring for new initiatives.
- Maintain and develop operational level vendor relationships.
- Maintain knowledge of sales processes, proposals, pipeline management, and partner engagement to recommend remedial actions.
- Ensure continuously improving levels of vendor and partner satisfaction.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness within the team.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline by product group.
- Measure and maintain critical product group performance data to meet vendor commitments and leverage commercial opportunities.
- Perform business forecasting and planning for product groups with vendors.
- Provide reports for commercial decision-making.
- Act as the advocate and leader for relevant product groups within TD SYNNEX and within the vendor community.
- Provide direction, development, and support to ensure optimal sales team performance for the product group, working closely with the Channels Sales Director.
- Address unsatisfactory performance and/or behavior within the team.
- Provide leadership example through behaviors to the wider organization.
- Proactively contribute to the commercial well-being and longevity of the business as a member of the leadership team.
Requirements
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience within IT distribution.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Appropriate vendor product sales certifications.
- Strong leadership attributes.
- Self-starter.
- Results focused.
- Sound business acumen.
- Ability to work with little direction.
- Capacity to lead vertical teams.
- Ability to influence business outcomes without direct control.
