About the Role

This role supports the day-to-day delivery of BDO's AML/CTF program, focusing on personnel due diligence, customer due diligence, and financial crime compliance to strengthen the firm's risk and compliance framework.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct AML/CTF personnel due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and periodic rescreening.
  • Review screening outcomes, identify risks, and escalate matters.
  • Coordinate personnel screening schedules and follow up on outstanding requirements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to support compliance with AML/CTF personnel due diligence obligations.
  • Assist with regulatory enquiries and information requests related to AML/CTF.
  • Support customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), risk assessments, and escalation processes.
  • Assist in developing and improving AML/CTF policies, procedures, controls, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Support AML/CTF training and awareness initiatives.
  • Contribute to the operation and optimization of the First AML platform.
  • Support the Senior AML Consultant in coordinating workflow, training, and quality assurance for the offshore AML Administration team.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented and proactive professional with experience in a risk and compliance environment.
  • Previous experience in AML/CTF, compliance, risk management, client onboarding, or a similar regulatory environment.
  • Understanding of AML/CTF obligations, customer due diligence, beneficial ownership, sanctions screening, PEPs, and financial crime risk management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to process enhancements.
