About the Role

The Radisson Hotel Group is one of the world's largest hotel groups. We are seeking a professional to ensure proper, complete, and timely financial accounting according to HGB, monitor balance sheet account reconciliation, and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. This role also involves supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business plan creation, as well as analyzing revenue, cost, and profit developments. Additionally, you will conduct internal control checks, prepare for audits, and act as a point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities. You will also oversee compliance with purchasing guidelines and support tender processes and contract negotiations. Responsibilities extend to fixed asset accounting, supporting FF&E plan creation, and ensuring correct capitalization and depreciation. A key aspect of this role is the professional leadership and development of the Finances & Accounting team, ensuring efficient organization of administrative processes within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper, complete, and timely financial accounting according to HGB
  • Monitor balance sheet account reconciliation and open items
  • Ensure audit-proof documentation of all financial processes
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  • Support the creation of budgets, forecasts, and business plans
  • Create statistics and reports
  • Analyze revenue, cost, and profit developments
  • Conduct regular internal control checks
  • Prepare and accompany internal and external audits
  • Act as a point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities
  • Monitor compliance with purchasing guidelines
  • Support tender processes and contract negotiations
  • Responsibility for fixed asset accounting
  • Support the creation of the FF&E plan
  • Ensure correct capitalization and depreciation

Requirements

  • Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship with a focus on finance and accounting
  • Further training as a certified accountant (IHK) or comparable qualification is mandatory
  • Alternatively, a completed degree in business administration with a focus on accounting, finance, or controlling
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in finance and accounting
  • Sound knowledge of HGB, accounting, and month-end/year-end closing
  • Good knowledge of sales tax and tax law
  • Proficient in ERP systems and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of hotel management and financial systems (e.g., Opera Cloud, Business Central, SAP) is advantageous
  • Knowledge of the USALI system is desirable
