About the Role
As a Senior Associate in our Private Clients team, you’ll play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality external audit services, helping our clients comply with regulatory requirements and improve their financial reporting across a broad range of industries from small, fast-growing companies to large entities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and performing external audits of private clients’ financial statements in line with regulatory and professional standards
- Conduct substantive testing and detailed audit procedures on owner-managed businesses and family enterprises to identify risks and ensure accuracy
- Help evaluate internal controls and financial processes to support audit objectives
- Prepare clear and concise audit documentation, reports, and findings for clients and senior team members
- Support the identification and communication of audit issues and collaborate with clients to resolve financial reporting challenges
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance audit efficiency and quality
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in external audit and ideally one year as a Senior Auditor or equivalent with exposure to Private Clients or owner-managed businesses.
- Bachelor’s qualification in Commerce or Finance
- Progress towards or completion of a recognised CA
- Ability to analyse financial information, identify risks, and apply professional judgement to audit processes
- Coach and develop junior staff members and project plan
- Ability to prepare audit findings clearly and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
- Foundational knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements, with a commitment to ongoing learning
