About the Role
The Liquidity Trade Management team within FICC Operations is a global team seeking a candidate to provide operational support in the Asian time zone to an Asia client base operating in the Global markets. The role will involve supporting the STIR desk and other Operations and Federation groups, with a focus on risk mitigation and exceptional client service. Responsibilities include pre-trade execution services, collateral management, trade reconciliation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Pre matching urgent trades.
- Support MVP team for collateral management and daily mark to market.
- Follow up on urgent inquiries from clients, counterparts, and traders.
- Account maintenance.
- Analyze and resolve exceptions to maintain the integrity of the firm’s books and records.
- Proactive follow-up and escalation on unmatched and failing trades with Agent Banks, Counterparties, and internal teams.
- Support Liquidity Mgmt team on managing inventory to maximize settlement rates, increase liquidity, and minimize funding costs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local and international regulations as well as GS internal policies.
- Protect client assets in segregated accounts.
- Continually challenge processes to reduce risk and increase scalability through creative solutions.
- Maintain a strong focus on risk and control.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge.
- 2+ years of experience in a repo, Fixed Income Settlement, or Stock lending role.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, essential for interacting at all levels, across business disciplines and regions.
- Time management and ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to take ownership for an issue and problem-solve, providing clear and concise explanations of findings.
- Self-motivated, inquisitive, and enthusiastic to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
