About the Role
Join Asteron's Finance Systems & Reinsurance Practice as a System Accountant, where you'll bridge Finance and Technology to enhance financial systems, reporting, processes, and controls. Working closely with Finance, Actuarial, and Technology teams, you'll support both strategic transformation initiatives and business-as-usual activities in a collaborative, agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and uplift Oracle ERP and EPM capabilities, including FCCS, PBCS, TRCS, and Narrative Reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data, reporting, and associated controls.
- Support system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document current-state processes and contribute to future-state requirements and solution design.
- Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Technology teams, and external vendors to deliver successful outcomes.
- Perform testing, defect triage, and validation of financial systems and data integrations.
- Support change management activities, including process documentation and training.
- Identify and implement process and control improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and business outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Oracle ERP and EPM systems (FCCS, PBCS, TRCS).
- Knowledge of IFRS 17 and sound accounting principles.
- Experience delivering financial system implementations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives.
- Understanding of financial data flows, controls, testing, and system integrations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across Finance, Actuarial, Technology, and vendor teams.
- Provide two references.
- Possess full working rights.
