About the Role
The Chair of Management is a senior academic leadership role responsible for providing strategic, academic, and scholarly leadership for the Management discipline. This role is central to positioning ACAP’s Management discipline as distinctive, industry-engaged, and student-centred, leading the development and delivery of high-quality, future-focused programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, academic and scholarly leadership for the Management discipline.
- Lead the development and delivery of high-quality, future-focused programs.
- Ensure academic quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all Management courses.
- Foster a strong culture of scholarship, innovation, and collegiality.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing academic culture.
- Provide strategic advice to the Dean and Executive on discipline growth, sustainability, and market relevance.
- Represent ACAP in academic, professional, and industry contexts.
- Build partnerships that strengthen curriculum relevance, scholarship, and employability pathways.
Requirements
- Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in academic program leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to use evidence to inform strategic direction and manage change.
- Expertise and experience in curriculum design, innovation and uplift to enhance academic standards, quality assurance and regulatory compliance aligned to AQF and TEQSA requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-quality, inclusive teaching and use student data to improve progression, retention, satisfaction and achievement.
- Proven ability to lead and develop academic teams, manage performance, plan workforce needs and build a positive academic culture.
- Established scholarly profile.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with industry, professional bodies and institutional stakeholders.
- Strong industry connections and professional engagement (Desirable).
- Experience in Work Integrated Learning (WIL) design and implementation (Desirable).
