About the Role
The Advisor, Corporate Communications, supports campaigns to advance the corporate narrative of the CIB using communications tools and platforms, notably the corporate website. This position provides communications advice and planning support for various initiatives, developing and delivering strategies, content, and campaigns to drive awareness and strengthen the CIB's reputation.
Responsibilities
- Proactively support the development and implementation of the annual corporate communications action plan, delivering initiatives and messages that engage internal and external audiences across multiple channels.
- Develop communications and multimedia materials, including video and other digital content, to support integrated campaigns across internal, external and digital channels including the CIB website and intranet, corporate events, publications and social media.
- Support communications for corporate programs and priorities including accessibility, diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as official languages initiatives.
- Ensure communications messages and programs are captured in departmental planning and results and progress is tracked.
- Apply private sector communication best practices to corporate, digital, web and social media communications.
- Take on additional responsibilities and special projects consistent with the needs of a growing and evolving communications function.
Requirements
- A strong executor who will deliver outcomes that drive business objectives through effective corporate communications and multimedia content.
- Three to five years of corporate communications experience with experience supporting a corporate communications program across internal, external and digital channels.
- Strong writing skills (research, writing, editing and proofreading) across a range of communications vehicles and platforms.
- Experience creating multimedia content, including video capture and editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro.
- Demonstrated interest in digital innovation and the evolving role of AI in communications, content creation and multimedia production.
- Exceptional organization and project management and a strong commitment to delivering excellence individually and at the team level.
- Effective ability to interact with others in ways that respect diverse backgrounds, experience and style.
- Experience in either the financial services, government or Crown corporations, an asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French, a strong asset.
