About the Role
As a Senior Java Developer, you will take end-to-end ownership of technical challenges, from understanding requirements to shipping production-ready solutions. You will work across backend systems, security, and cross-platform development, contributing to both new builds and the evolution of existing products. This role is for self-directed, curious individuals energized by solving complex problems with global impact.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that meet or exceed product and client requirements
- Build and maintain security-focused applications of increasing scope and complexity
- Extend and improve existing systems — adding functionality, enhancing performance, and adapting to new environments
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility across all deliverables
- Monitor system improvements post-deployment and iterate based on performance outcomes
- Contribute to architecture, database design, and technical direction as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- At least 3 years strong, hands-on Java development skills with a solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases — including design, analysis, and querying
- Proven experience with continuous integration and deployment practices
- Demonstrated ability to write secure, testable, and maintainable code
- Experience with cross-platform or multi-environment development
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency status
