About the Role

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning and managing all supply chain activities, including external vendor management, to drive the end-to-end SCM process from importing products from overseas factories, managing storage in warehouses, to delivering to customers. This position will work with internal and external suppliers, 3PL, and external vendors to fulfill customer demand, ensure stable product supply, and manage appropriate inventory levels. Understanding the business environment and customer demand to achieve company goals is essential. This position is also responsible for leading KAIZEN activities and projects to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction across the entire supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee order, receipt, and production of products, as well as order and shipping processes to deliver products to customers, ensuring supply meets customer requirements. Lead stable ERP system operation.
  • Cooperate with internal and external suppliers, 3PL, and external vendors to maximize supply chain efficiency and productivity. Negotiate with 3PL and external vendors for stable operation and cost reduction.
  • Manage forecast planning based on demand information from AOP and stakeholders. Share forecasts with suppliers to meet market demand.
  • Design and implement demand planning processes to manage healthy stock levels and eliminate obsolete stock and expired products. Manage stock levels to achieve AOP targets.
  • Analyze inventory, purchase history, and demand trends to establish purchasing and stable supply processes. Collaborate with sales/marketing teams to fine-tune forecasts.
  • Establish monitoring processes to avoid shortages and delays and eliminate back orders. Cooperate with stakeholders to minimize back order impact.
  • Guide, manage, and monitor 3PL shipping and delivery operations to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery and prevent delays or stockouts. Coordinate with departments during irregular occurrences.
  • Estimate and manage costs (inventory, 3PL, outsourcing, operations, scrap) to minimize expenses. Establish cost monitoring dashboards and processes. Analyze operation costs for improvement opportunities.
  • Coach 3PL (Yasuda warehouse) and external vendor (Yamato Systems) activities for orders, production, and delivery to develop supply chain strategy, establish efficient operations, and achieve KPIs.
  • Establish and manage operations for supply chain compliance, governance, and regulations. Implement improvements to minimize risk.
  • Pre-empt and resolve supply chain issues by leading and integrating cross-functional efforts.
  • Improve company operational efficiency and productivity by collaborating with peers and global teams. Lead organization-wide PPI activities.
  • Supervise the supply chain team and provide coaching to enhance organizational capacity and talent pipeline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required. Degree in operations management or science related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management or supply chain management in logistics, packaging, or order taking management.
  • Experience in building and managing forecasts, preferably within clinical supply chains.
  • Experience managing a team of three or more members.
  • Business-level English conversation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, MS Project) and Office 365.
  • Ability to independently manage priorities and workday in a remote setting.
