About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join our Buyer & Merchandising team, working closely with Merchandise, Buying, Distribution Centre, and Retail.
Responsibilities
- Quarterly review and build-up of plans including budgeting
- Markdown planning for review and sign off
- Provide solutions to any forecast shortfall vs planned sales / profit $
- Monthly update and ownership of WSSI
- Monitor performance vs signed off sale plan and reforecast and provide direction to buyers on cancellations and markdowns based on WSSI plans
- Management of stock on hand with recommendations where necessary
- Identify areas of focus and opportunity for team after weekly trade
- Orderbook approval with AM (risk lines/ cancels etc)
- Communicating and managing cancel requests with Suppliers
- Review of team call ins
- Initiate store to store transfers
- Line forecasting of core styles
- Management of reporting – weekly department reporting / brand requests / store requests
- Store visits and action plans where required
- Negotiate commercial terms and agreements with suppliers, including purchasing, promotional, and supply agreements to secure competitive commercial outcomes and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Delivering Sales, Margin and Stock targets
- Pro-Actively communicate to the Merchandising Team
- Seek out opportunities to learn ‘On The Job’
- Compliance to Safety Strategy
- Develop and execute pricing, marketing, promotional, and visual merchandising strategies to maximise sales and profitability.

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Merchandise Planning
- Advanced excel, word and PowerPoint skills
- Inventory Management
