About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a facilities management team supporting a major hospital site in Enfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with experience in building services, healthcare facilities, or commercial maintenance environments.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical plant and equipment
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns
- Diagnosing faults and undertaking repairs to mechanical systems
- Maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning and water systems
- Ensuring statutory compliance and accurate maintenance records are maintained
- Assisting with plant inspections and operational checks
- Working closely with the wider engineering and facilities teams
- Adhering to all health, safety and site-specific procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within facilities management, healthcare, commercial or industrial environments
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
