Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting support to clients.
- Serve as a key member of the Accounting and Tax Services team.
- Ensure client financial records are accurate, current, and organized.
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports.
- Support tax planning and preparation efforts.
- Ensure financial information is timely, accurate, and readily available for decision-making and compliance purposes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing full cycle bookkeeping functions.
- Strong technical bookkeeping skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, accounting procedures, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ability to prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
- Experience performing bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Understanding of month-end and year-end close processes.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and related tax requirements.
- Experience maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requests.
- Ability to prepare financial reports, account summaries, and supporting schedules.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and resolve issues.
- Experience tracking budgets, expenses, and cash flow activity.
- Ability to maintain data integrity and ensure accuracy across financial systems.
- Proficiency with accounting and bookkeeping software.
- Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience utilizing technology to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new financial systems and platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Consistent follow-through on recurring financial processes and reporting requirements.
