About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our paediatric female client with her daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing her quality of life. You will work closely with our client, her families, and other professionals to deliver person-centred care and support. You will be providing personal care, administering medications, and managing clinical interventions.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical and emotional support to service users.
- Administer medications, and complete manual handling.
- Working with clinical interventions.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care where required.
- Promote independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion.
- Build positive and professional relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
- Caring, empathetic, and patient nature.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
- Right to work in the UK.
- 6 months care experience within the last 2 years (UK based experience).
- Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs including brain injuries, spinal injuries, physical disabilities, genetic and neurological conditions.
