About the Role
Oversee controls installations for commercial mechanical projects, working with a respected contractor known for its strong project pipeline and technically sharp field leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily field operations including manpower, schedule, and quality across multiple jobsites.
- Coordinate installation sequencing with general contractors, mechanical trades, and engineering teams.
- Submit and track RFIs, permitting documentation, and submittal packages.
- Lead startup, point-to-point checkout, and commissioning activities.
- Mentor field technicians and enforce site standards for safety, workmanship, and documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with HVAC controls and DDC systems.
- Prior supervisory experience leading field crews on commercial construction projects.
- Working knowledge of Automated Logic or comparable building automation platforms.
- AutoCAD proficiency for redlines, as-builts, and shop drawing review.
- Experience reading mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination.
- Ability to communicate clearly with owners, engineers, and trade partners.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between regional jobsites.
- Must complete Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification at start of employment.
- Temporary work authorization or need for sponsorship may disqualify from employment.
