About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Registered Paediatric Nurse (RNC) to join our Complex Care team, supporting children and young people with complex healthcare needs in their homes and local communities. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, child-centred care while supporting families to ensure children can live safely and comfortably at home.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain personalised care plans and risk assessments.
  • Deliver and oversee complex clinical interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate care outcomes, escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance, clinical governance, and safeguarding processes.
  • Provide personal care.
  • Administer medications.
  • Manage clinical interventions including tracheostomy care and suction, tracheostomy tube change, ventilation via tracheostomy, humidification, deep suctioning, mechanical cough assist, PICC lines (awareness only), administration of subcutaneous medications, care and use of gastrostomy, epilepsy management, experience with ketones, and awareness of adrenal crisis management.
  • Enhance client's life via play and social interactions.

Requirements

  • Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN/RN Child) with a valid PIN.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Experience caring for children with complex healthcare needs.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and family-centred care approach.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people.
