About the Role
Design and coordinate building electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects, working closely with architects, engineers, and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Prepare construction documents, drawings, and specifications using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and equipment sizing.
- Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams.
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and support field installation and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, local building codes, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building electrical system design.
- Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of NEC, IBC, NFPA, and other applicable codes.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain in the near future.
