About the Role

The General Manager will direct and coordinate hotel activities to achieve optimal efficiency, economy of operations, and maximize profits. The ideal candidate is passionate, committed to the business at an ownership level, and inspires loyalty and maximizes performance in their team.

Responsibilities

• Engage with individuals/groups and be comfortable in social situations.
• Establish and maintain guest service standards that exceed guests' expectations.
• Manage guest and community relations.
• Monitor financial performance and control costs pursuant to the annual operating budget.
• Maximize the revenue generated by each business area.
• Participate in community and industry organizations as the primary representative of the hotel.
• Maintain the property to Franchise and Engage Hospitality standards.
• Manage individual department supervisors responsible for daily operations and profitability.
• Direct, coordinate, and evaluate departments.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Interview, hire, train, supervise, plan, assign, and direct work of, appraise performance of, reward, and discipline department supervisors.
• Address employee complaints and resolve employee problems.

Requirements

• Regularly required to walk, talk, hear, taste, and smell.
• Occasionally required to stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
