About the Role

As an Assistant Arborist, you will be an integral member of a tree care team, working alongside Bartlett's dedicated team of Climbing Arborists, gaining hands-on field experience in the scientific care of trees and shrubs on commercial and residential properties. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career in arboriculture through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Learn through on-the-job training to safely perform all aspects of arboriculture, including pruning, rigging, cabling and bracing, and removals.
• Maintain and properly operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts).
• Apply safety procedures in work areas.
• Assist climbing arborists and lead arborists working on the ground and at heights.
• Assist with driving, backing, unloading, and parking tasks.
• Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety regulations and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors.
• Interest in working outdoors year-round and in all weather conditions.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver's license.

Salary/Compensations

• $19.00 - $22.50 per hour
