About the Role
Seeking Licensed Counselors and Social Workers to provide non-medical counseling services to military service members and their families as part of the Military & Family Life Counseling (MFLC) Program.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing non-medical counseling services to military service members and their families.
- Offer non-medical, short-term, confidential walk-around counseling.
- Conduct training and health and wellness presentations.
- Participate in health fairs.
- Consult with installation command regarding behavioral health issues.
- Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure program scope and needs are met.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must pass a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) Clearance and an Installation Records Check (IRC), Criminal History Background Check, FBI Fingerprints Check, and drug screening.
- Understanding, sensitivity, and empathy for military service members and their families.
- Ability to develop trusting, helping relationships.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Education Level
- Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA)
- Valid, unrestricted CT, MA, or RI State Licensure at the independent practice level (LCSW, LISW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LMHC)
Salary/Compensations
- $70,000 - $90,000
