Responsibilities

• Stay current on LLM and AI research, translating findings into practical guidance.
• Test and evaluate new models and methods for applicability.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate promising techniques into client systems.
• Advise on technology trends to shape product direction.
• Build prototypes and conduct experiments to explore possibilities.
• Establish metrics for evaluating AI-driven system performance.
• Share research findings internally and externally as appropriate.

Requirements

• Experience applying AI research to real-world problems.
• Ability to quickly assess the relevance of new research and models.
• Strong engineering skills for building and shipping prototypes.
• Clear communication, with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
• Good judgment regarding technological trends and hype.
• Comfort in an early-stage, adaptable environment with self-defined work.
• A background in machine learning, NLP, or a related research field.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, fine-tuning, retrieval, agents, or evaluation.
• Experience transitioning research into production systems.
