About the Role

Lucid builds verifiable compute infrastructure, producing cryptographic evidence about AI hardware operations, location, and claimed computation accuracy. We are seeking individuals with deep expertise in areas such as applied cryptography, hardware security, GPU systems, distributed systems, networking, and trusted environments.

Responsibilities

• Build cryptographic systems that shipped.
• Reason about threat models as fluently as about primitives.
• Work with hardware and silicon security, including roots of trust, TEEs, secure enclaves, and attestation on modern accelerators.
• Engage in direct technical work with silicon vendors.
• Analyze GPU, compilers, and ML systems, including static analysis of kernels.
• Extract memory access patterns and computational structure.
• Derive workload behavior from definitions.
• Build distributed systems for collecting, storing, and serving verification evidence at scale.
• Develop the control plane for distributed systems.
• Work with networking and measurement, including network taps, timing, and latency measurement.
• Perform inference on geolocating compute.
• Handle noisy physical-world signals and adversaries.
• Build and defend hardened compute environments, including physical and supply-chain security.
• Apply for adjacent specialties and explain where you would fit.

Requirements

• Real depth in your area of expertise, demonstrated through years of experience or exceptional velocity.
• Strong systems programming skills in Rust, C, C++, or Go.
• Ability to meet the correctness bar for security-critical infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ownership, taking problems from ambiguous questions to shipped systems independently.
• Willingness to explain systems to customers, vendors, and regulators.
