About the Role
Performs various tasks in a landfill including containing loose refuse to prevent scattering and directing traffic at the landfill.
Responsibilities
- Manually picks up windblown paper from the periphery of the landfill.
- Uses a mobile vacuum to gather loose paper and refuse.
- Directs traffic at the landfill entrance during peak summer months.
- Lifts construction materials for site maintenance projects.
- Manually separates metal, white goods, lumber, and cardboard from trash on the tipping floor.
Requirements
- Licenses as required by Local, State, Federal, Environmental and/or Health/Safety Regulatory agencies.
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if travel by air or access to federal property is required.
