About the Role
We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to manage engineering projects, support new product launches, improve manufacturing processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. It is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or someone with up to two years of experience looking to build a career in plastics manufacturing and product development.
Responsibilities
- Support new product introductions from design through production launch.
- Coordinate engineering projects to ensure timelines and customer expectations are met.
- Develop qualification protocols for new and existing products.
- Manage tooling activities and engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Create and update SolidWorks models and support tooling design changes.
- Assist with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
- Work with manufacturing, quality, automation, and process engineering teams to improve product performance.
- Investigate manufacturing issues and recommend solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Participate in CAPA activities and quality improvement projects.
- Provide technical support to customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Assist with quoting activities for new and existing products.
- Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 0 to 2 years of engineering experience.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience with plastics injection molding.
- Experience in a medical device or ISO regulated manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
