About the Role
CEO is seeking a Program Assistant to provide classroom, building, program, and administrative support services to the Head Start program to ensure effective and efficient operations within the assigned location.
Responsibilities
- Perform a broad variety of administrative tasks to support the Center/location, as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with the site supervisor to provide classroom and site support coverage to assigned classrooms and locations.
- Communicate positively and effectively with parents, children, and colleagues while maintaining confidentiality.
- Work effectively with the Center Manager/Site Supervisor to be an active participant in meetings and events and demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Assist with collection and entering data into the computer, utilizing appropriate database.
- Assist with the completion of program reporting, data collection, and other administrative tasks, as assigned.
- Upkeep of building office equipment and ordering of supplies.
- Work with CEO programs and staff, as well as community agencies, to refer families to CEO programs and services as appropriate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong Computer Skills, including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- An ability to work independently and to manage multiple priorities.
- Possess prior clerical experience.
- Valid and clear NYS Driver’s License.
- Applicants will be required to complete standard background clearances.
