About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Risk to lead and stabilize our risk organization during a phase of rapid growth. This role replaces interim leadership and is critical for building a long-term, scalable risk function that enables sustainable growth. You will lead a growing team, manage a rapidly expanding credit portfolio, and build the processes, systems, and culture required for scale. This is a build-and-lead role with full ownership of the risk function, working directly with the founder and leadership team.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Risk team, creating clarity, structure, and strong performance standards
Own credit underwriting quality and portfolio performance across B2B and B2C
Build scalable risk processes, policies, and decision frameworks to support rapid growth
Drive automation, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making in the risk function
Balance growth and risk while ensuring losses remain within defined risk appetite
Work hands-on where needed while shaping the long-term risk strategy

Requirements

Strong experience in credit risk and underwriting, ideally across both B2B and consumer lending
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
A hands-on mindset combined with strategic thinking
The ability to operate effectively in fast-changing, imperfect environments
A strong ownership mentality and drive to make things happen
A data-driven approach to decision-making
