About the Role
This intermediate-level role is designed for motivated professionals ready to take on greater responsibility and operate with independence and sound judgment. You will be trusted to navigate priorities, support others, and help elevate operational efficiency. This position is adaptable and focuses on applying skills where they add the most value, ensuring efficient and safe production processes while minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Ensure products meet all production requirements and specifications.
- Determine average product weight and weigh items before final processing.
- Train team members and promote continuous learning and improvement.
- Manage production data, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure accurate reporting and communication between shifts.
- May require operation of various types of mobile and industrial equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Verify material quantities and escalate discrepancies as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to process improvements.
- Understand and operate advanced machinery and processes.
- Inspect products and materials and communicate effectively with team members.
- Complete necessary forms and reports related to production and quality.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years previous manufacturing/production/warehouse experience.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English.
- Basic math (addition and subtraction) required.
- Ability to work well with others in order to accomplish team objectives.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.
- Must have high sense of urgency.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day for up to 6 days a week.
- Needs to lift totes of components. Weights vary from 5 pounds up to 25 and in some cases higher than 25 pounds.
- Must be able to follow procedures for the clean room that may include attire and personal hygiene.
