About the Role

We are looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented US Legal Editor, AI Content Updating to join the Global Analytical Editorial Operations team. This role involves curating, enhancing, and expanding US legal analysis by partnering with authors and using AI-enabled editorial tools to ensure legal commentary remains accurate and current. A key focus is the day-to-day use of AI tools to support content commissioning, research, drafting, review, and updating at scale, applying editorial judgment to AI-generated outputs and contributing to tool improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and support external authors, fostering strong relationships and managing contributor contracts within approved budgets.
  • Set clear expectations for scope, style, quality, and delivery timelines, providing guidance and feedback to authors.
  • Track legislative, regulatory, and case-law developments to keep content current and identify new content opportunities.
  • Manage portfolio delivery plans, balancing quality, speed, and cost.
  • Use Agentic Content Platform for editorial workflows, evaluating, refining, and approving AI-generated outputs.
  • Provide substantive and structural updates and edits to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Contribute subject-matter insight to the testing and improvement of AI tools for content development.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives such as new product pilots and author recruitment.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Content Strategy teams to ensure alignment with market needs.
  • Monitor customer feedback and analytics to make improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned practice areas, supplying requirements for customer-facing features.
  • Support Marketing and Sales with subject-matter expertise.

Requirements

  • J.D. required.
  • 1–5 years of legal practice, legal publishing, or comparable legal content development experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to edit complex legal analysis for clarity, consistency, and voice.
  • Confidence working with AI-enabled tools for legal research, document summarization, content drafting, and editorial review.
  • Skilled at crafting prompts, evaluating outputs, iterating for optimal results, and contributing to the improvement of AI-supported workflows.
  • Ability to interpret market signals, customer feedback, and data to inform content initiatives.
  • Clear, positive communicator who thrives on collaboration.
  • Ability to execute on commitments and pivot quickly as needed.
