About the Role

This role supports Client Accountants in providing property management accounting services and service charge accounting for EMEA Occupier Services clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in line with best practices and client requirements. The position involves managing a key client account, including period-end reporting, liaising with stakeholders, and proactively improving accounting services.

Responsibilities

  • Control, set up, and maintain the property management database (Tramps).
  • Provide regular and timely financial reporting to clients using property management databases and other tools.
  • Raise head lease charges and reconcile them with rent/service charge demands.
  • Produce funding requests for clients.
  • Arrange prompt settlement of sums to landlords via online banking.
  • Raise tenant demands for rents, service charges, and ad hoc charges.
  • Supervise credit control activities and review arrears reports.
  • Process rent receipts for clients.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc financial analysis using Excel.
  • Address tenant and landlord queries.
  • Adhere to the RICS Service Charge Code.
  • Draft and complete year-end service charge accounts, including prepayments and accruals.
  • Collaborate with surveying colleagues in London and regional offices.
  • Work closely with the Cashiering, Accounts Payable, and Credit Control teams.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Handle VAT reporting, accounting, and reconciliations.
  • Attend client meetings.
  • Represent the Company professionally and with a client-focused approach.
  • Perform general administrative duties and other reasonable tasks.

Requirements

  • Previous use of a recognized property management accounts package, ideally Tramps.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (intermediate level) including Vlookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A professional and organized approach to work.
  • A positive and helpful attitude within a team environment.
