About the Role
As a Group Leader for Signaling (ETCS), you will lead your team and drive the further development of innovative solutions in the ETCS subsystem, combining technical expertise with strong leadership to shape your work environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as a driving force, motivate your team, and further develop innovative solutions in the ETCS subsystem.
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for your employees.
- Be responsible for the technical further development of your discipline and optimize processes and the tool landscape used.
- Plan and manage technical and personnel capacities within the team, and define and prioritize goals.
- Actively drive the continuous development of your team's competencies and represent its interests within the organization.
- Support project managers in planning and progress, identify risks early, and promote close cross-departmental collaboration.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Sound experience in the software development of safety-critical systems and knowledge of the Project Life Cycle of development processes.
- Experience with agile development methods.
- Knowledge in the rail environment (e.g., train control/ETCS) and relevant norms and standards (e.g., CENELEC, UNISIG) is advantageous.
- International experience is also advantageous.
- Leadership competence, assertiveness, and a strong results- and team-oriented approach.
- Resilience in demanding situations.
- Confident communication in German and English.
- Willingness to undertake business trips.
