About the Role
As a Senior Specialist Legal Editor, you will leverage your expertise in public procurement and public sector law to create and maintain legal content and support the development of AI-powered legal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Research, write, and maintain clear, current, and practical legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs.
- Review and edit content written by colleagues or external contributors.
- Stay updated on legal, practice, and market developments to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Utilize legal expertise to support the development of customer-focused AI-powered legal solutions.
- Apply legal expertise and editorial skills to support the development and application of internal AI editorial tools.
- Develop and maintain relationships with lawyers and industry groups to ensure content reflects current market practice.
- Assist the wider Thomson Reuters team, collaborating with product management, sales, marketing, and technology functions.
Requirements
- UK qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive.
- Substantial post-qualification experience as a public sector lawyer in the UK.
- Extensive experience in public procurement law and practice.
- Good knowledge of administrative and constitutional law.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to write accurately, concisely, and in plain English.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong technical skills and ability to effectively utilize various tools, including generative AI technologies.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work on diverse projects within the generative AI space and with new technologies.
- Curious mindset regarding the intersection of AI and legal practice.
- Experience using AI tools in legal work.
