About the Role
The Analyst, Acquisitions is responsible for a wide range of tasks including summarizing deal materials, tax and rent analysis, income statement analysis and projections, market analysis, and opportunity tracking.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for financial analysis and underwriting of potential acquisition and development opportunities utilizing Excel.
- Provide research support utilizing online, internal, and external resources, including data aggregation and analysis.
- Stay current on industry trends and maintain market awareness in targeted markets.
- Assist in preparing investment presentations for investors, government agencies and brokers.
- Assist in due diligence, coordination of 3rd party vendors, interfacing with lenders and government agencies, and preparation of closing statements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in financial analysis, with prior employment at a principal real estate, real estate development, real estate investment or commercial banking firm.
- Experience with Affordable Housing and/or Real Estate acquisitions preferred.
- High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Strong Excel modeling and quantitative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, presentation and analytical skills.
- Ability to take ownership and commitment to follow through.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong problem solving, investigating, and critical judgment skills.
