About the Role

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 5 to 8 years of professional experience in embedded systems and software validation, you will take ownership of our automated test strategy, designing and scaling advanced test frameworks that bridge hardware and software. You will act as a technical leader, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating closely with firmware developers, electrical engineers, and product managers to ensure the reliability of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, architecture, and scaling automated test frameworks from scratch for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments and system integration.
  • Writing robust, production-grade automation scripts and testing suites using Python, or modern C#.
  • Isolating, diagnosing, and root-cause complex low-level hardware defects, race conditions, and timing anomalies using lab equipment.
  • Building, maintaining, and optimizing continuous integration pipelines (e.g. Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI) to orchestrate daily regression testing on hardware.
  • Participating in software code reviews and architectural discussions to advocate for testability, test hooks, and design-for-test (DFT) principles.
  • Providing technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior engineers on the team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer specifically within embedded systems or application testing.
  • Proficiency in C# .NET and familiarity with Python.
  • Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) design or custom hardware test fixture development is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety-critical development standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 62304, DO-178C) is preferred.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker for standardized test environments is preferred.
  • Leverage AI/ML tools to accelerate test development, including automated test generation is preferred.
  • Valid work authorization in the country of employment is required.
