About the Role

Our Sydney Risk Consulting division is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with 1.5-2 years of experience to take a step up, offering career progression in line with efforts. The firm provides personalized services across various industries, leveraging a global network of resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk advisory engagements, including internal audit, consulting, and compliance, managing planning and execution with engagement team members.
• Guide junior team members through training, mentoring, and methodology compliance.
• Maintain strong budgetary discipline and plan effective, realistic budgets.
• Communicate effectively with clients at senior levels in diverse business environments.
• Perform technical and operational reviews for clients with varying risk profiles.
• Complete engagement files and electronic working papers in a timely manner for review.
• Summarize key engagement areas for Partner/Principal/Manager review.
• Identify potential issues and document them with proposed recommendations for management attention.
• Draft internal audit reports providing practical and commercial business advice.
• Develop a detailed understanding of clients' systems, processes, and internal control environments.
• Assist Partner/Director and/or Managers in business development and marketing activities.
• Contribute to meetings and deliver effective presentations.

Requirements

• 2+ years minimum internal audit or risk advisory experience, preferably within a Professional Services firm or equivalent role.
• Strong communication and business writing skills.
