About the Role
The Manager of Operations supports the Managing Director and center leadership team by coordinating administrative processes related to rentals, events, and day-to-day operations. This role involves supporting facility maintenance, vendor management, and security teams, while fostering collaborative partnerships. The position is detail-oriented, highly organized, and responsive in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct oversight of the Rentals Coordinator and the rentals and events business platforms.
- Support event execution, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Conduct facility walkthroughs to ensure areas are safe, clean, and meet appropriate standards.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist with the development and tracking of the operational budget.
- Maintain clear and open communication with the Managing Director and other departmental heads.
- Manage and track status of operational service tickets, repairs, and service updates.
- Conduct regular team meetings to inform staff about upcoming events and adjustments.
- Serve as primary point of contact for all external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Assist in the development and implementation of long-term operational strategies.
- Consistently review operational workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Serve as Manager on Duty, as assigned.
- Act as on-site point of contact for operational issues and escalation when a manager or senior leader is not on-site.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant facility or project management experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service approach.
- High attention to detail and follow through.
- Ability to work cross-functionally.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with CRM systems preferred.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Comfort navigating dynamic and fast-paced nonprofit environments.
