About the Role
Serves as a team leader, assigning work and coaching team members and reporting to management on their performance. Writes and produces news and feature content and programming as assigned for use in broadcasts and web and social media. Conducts and writes up interviews for inclusion in his/her assigned stories. Adapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assigned. Voices material for/during broadcasts as assigned, including material prepared by others. As assigned, edits and approves copy and content prepared or written by others for broadcast and/or publication for inclusion in his/her assigned stories. Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines. Serves as anchor/program host as assigned. Works independently or as a member of a team.

Requirements
- Fluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area
- Has specialized knowledge including formal education in a field desired by VOA, regularly demonstrating that added ability through the performance of his/her duties
- All personal service contractors must pass a thorough background check
