About the Role

We are seeking a Securities Financing Specialist to enhance Jane Street’s financing capabilities. This role involves collaborating with internal teams to manage trading firm constraints, executing financing decisions, and refining long-term financing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Optimize financing and securities lending transactions across various products by working closely with trading desks and infrastructure teams.
• Maintain and develop relationships with prime brokers and external financing counterparties.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in financing markets to support trading desk decisions.
• Contribute to long-term financing strategy by improving and expanding financing activity and capacity.
• Collaborate with Finance department groups to find robust solutions for strategic and tactical problems.
• Learn about and support other products, financing structures, and trading desks within Jane Street.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant financing experience at a buy-side firm or bank.
• Some exposure to credit financing, ideally in corporate bonds, is preferred.
• Ability to cultivate relationships with prime brokers and external financing counterparties.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with technical data analysis to solve problems.
• Intellectual curiosity and motivation to learn about new products, funding trade types, and strategies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
