About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven District Manager to lead multiple POP MART retail locations throughout the New York City market. This leader will be responsible for driving sales performance, operational excellence, talent development, and exceptional customer experiences across the district while bringing POP MART's unique brand and culture to life. As District Manager, you will serve as a strategic business partner to Store Managers, empowering them to build high-performing teams, execute company initiatives, and achieve operational and financial goals. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Retail Operations, Human Resources, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, Asset Protection, and our global headquarters to support continued growth throughout North America. Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple retail stores to consistently achieve sales, profitability, payroll, and operational objectives.
  • Drive district performance through effective coaching, accountability, and performance management.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, develop, and retain top retail talent while building strong succession plans for future leadership.
  • Coach and mentor Store Managers to strengthen leadership capability, operational execution, and employee engagement.
  • Monitor and improve key business metrics including sales, conversion, average transaction value, units per transaction, labor productivity, shrink, inventory accuracy, and customer experience.
  • Ensure stores consistently execute POP MART's visual merchandising, operational, and brand standards.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and store visits to identify opportunities, recognize success, and implement action plans.
  • Partner with Human Resources on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and talent development initiatives.
  • Manage district payroll, labor budgets, operating expenses, and overall financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to successfully execute new store openings, marketing campaigns, product launches, inventory initiatives, and operational improvements.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between retail stores and corporate teams in the United States and China.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, inventory controls, and all applicable employment laws.
  • Quickly identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions that improve business performance.
  • Oversee ROBO Shop operations within the assigned territory, including hiring and developing ROBO Operators, maximizing uptime, maintaining operational standards, and driving sales performance.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of progressive retail leadership experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of multi-unit retail management experience leading multiple store locations.
  • Proven success developing high-performing Store Managers and retail leadership teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing sales, payroll, labor, operating expenses, and profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business performance and use data to drive results.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence and build partnerships across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing retail environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout the New York market.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated or at a desk) for extended periods while operating a computer or other office equipment.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
