About the Role

The E-UNITY business unit of the SV Group is seeking an experienced professional to strategically and operationally manage purchasing for its brands. This role is crucial for ensuring competitive purchasing conditions, reliable product availability, and economically sensible inventory levels, directly contributing to margin, delivery capability, assortment success, and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a cross-brand purchasing strategy for merchandise, customizable products, packaging, production materials, and external services.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage national and international suppliers to build a strong supplier network.
  • Independently conduct price, condition, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor procurement markets, competitors, prices, and product trends to identify purchasing and assortment opportunities.
  • Perform cost, margin, and profitability analyses and implement optimization measures.
  • Manage demand planning, procurement, and inventory development to ensure high product availability with appropriate capital commitment.
  • Incorporate seasonality, campaigns, product launches, and sales forecasts into procurement planning.
  • Support new products from sourcing and sampling through to series production.
  • Systematically evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery reliability, flexibility, innovation, and risk.
  • Coordinate import processes and collaborate with logistics, customs, and other partners for international procurement.
  • Ensure product quality, safety, labeling, documentation, and legal compliance requirements are met.
  • Maintain purchasing, item, and supplier data in the ERP system and generate regular reports.
  • Support invoice verification and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain existing supplier relationships and identify new sourcing channels.
  • Develop and improve purchasing processes, standards, and tools to ensure transparency in conditions, inventory, availability, and savings potential.

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in strategic and operational purchasing, preferably in e-commerce, mail order, consumer goods, private label, or personalized production.
  • Proven experience in price and contract negotiations and in building and developing national and international suppliers.
  • Strong commercial understanding and proficiency in calculations, margins, minimum order quantities, inventory, and delivery times.
  • Experience in demand planning, procurement, and inventory optimization.
  • Knowledge of international procurement, import processes, and Incoterms.
  • Good understanding of product quality, product safety, and compliance requirements in retail.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, Excel, and ideally analysis, business intelligence, and AI-supported tools.
  • Openness to using artificial intelligence and automation for market analysis, data preparation, forecasting, and process optimization in purchasing.
  • Fluent German and good English language skills.
  • Completed degree in business administration or commerce, a commercial apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, strong cost awareness, and a good sense for products, markets, and customer needs.
  • Structured, self-reliant working style and the ability to manage multiple brands, assortments, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Confident demeanor, assertiveness, and enjoyment of collaboration in an interdisciplinary e-commerce environment.
