About the Role

Hex is seeking a Technical Sourcer to build repeatable pathways for finding exceptional technical talent. This role emphasizes creativity in using AI tooling to unlock sourcing capacity and engage passive candidates. You will own talent discovery and rediscovery, leveraging AI for precision, personalization, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own top-of-funnel sourcing strategy for technical searches across Engineering, AI, Infra, Product, and Design.
• Build and run an AI-forward sourcing stack using AI tools, agents, and automation.
• Design and iterate on AI-assisted outreach that is personalized, technically credible, and human.
• Map deep talent pools and competitive companies to surface "undiscovered" candidates.
• Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to calibrate profiles and translate into searchable criteria.
• Track conversion and response rates, A/B test messaging, and use data to pivot searches.
• Continuously evaluate new AI sourcing tools and share findings to improve team sourcing practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of technical/engineering sourcing experience, ideally at a high-growth startup.
• Fluent with AI tooling for recruiting, including experience with AI sourcing tools, agents, and automation.
• Experience building sourcing programs, pipelines, or AI/automation workflows from scratch.
• Technically literate, able to understand technical profiles and exceptional candidates.
• Precise operator, organized in systems, calibration, market mapping, and pipeline updates.
• Strong "hunter" instincts and comfort with ambiguity; operate with urgency and minimal instruction.
• Creative approach to attracting engineering talent with unique touch points.
• Care about the candidate experience, ensuring outreach is human and processes are efficient.
• Experience with Ashby, and sourcing tools like Gem, Juicebox, Noon, Metaview, etc.
