About the Role
The store team member supports store management by completing all store-level tasks, including cash register operations, customer service, and general housekeeping, to ensure an exceptional customer experience that aligns with the company's purpose to 'Leave 'em Better'.
Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers, calculators, or scanners.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
- Assist customers with questions, price discrepancies, or locating products.
- Process returns and exchanges according to store policy.
- Balance cash register and sales at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Identify product prices and tabulate bills.
- Bag, box, and wrap purchased items.
- Complete guest-centered duties and maintain a clean environment.
- Greet customers upon entry.
- Ensure proper execution of store-level marketing programs.
- Perform housekeeping functions including cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
- Replenish products and supplies to maintain stock levels.
- Check in external and internal vendors.
- Report unsafe activities to supervisor or Human Resources.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve company goals.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation.
- Abide by all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations/certifications.
- Be reliable, punctual, honest, and have a good attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and work on cash register or related equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
