About the Role

The person in this position ensures that assigned projects are completed on time and within budget, and the resultant products meet specifications. This role has project management responsibility and no direct reports, managing specific projects that have a distinct beginning and end.

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed development schedules for assigned projects
• Responsible for the effective internal and external communication of information related to project
• Procures required resources from resource managers
• Conducts status meetings
• Tracks, monitors and reports project progress
• Maintains, controls and distributes product specifications
• Leads a team, typically cross-functional teams, to achieve project goals and requirements
• Works with project teams and stakeholders to plan, execute, monitor, and control the project
• Manages resources, budget, cost, time, quality, risks and other constraints
• Performs non-technical project completion using an internal customer perspective, typically from initiation through delivery
• Coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget

Requirements

• A minimum of two years engineering, operations, product or project management experience
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret rules and regulations
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal or external personnel
• Ability to manage issues requiring problem resolution and conflict management

Skills

• Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of project management tools and processes
• Knowledge and understanding of project budgeting
• Ability to motivate employees
