About the Role
The IC Team is responsible for the design and test of integrated circuits operating at deep-cryogenic temperatures and interacting with qubits. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of technology development, creating innovative circuits to address the engineering challenges of implementing large-scale quantum computers in silicon. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, involved in all stages of the IC design cycle, from initial concept to volume production. As a Principal EDA Engineer, you will support design teams primarily using a design flow that combines analog flows with commercial PDKs and internally developed add-ons. You will collaborate with other EDA support engineers as the teams expand.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining all EDA environments within the company.
- Managing EDA team resources across multiple projects and teams.
- Collaborating with design and layout engineers in the tape-out flow to ensure GDS quality.
- Managing the interface with the foundry for ASIC fabrication flows.
- Supporting design teams by providing technical expertise on tool usage and workflows.
- Developing scripts to automate and improve design processes.
- Debugging EDA issues, including raising support tickets with tool vendors.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience supporting the delivery of CMOS ASICs in advanced PDKs.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with foundries/aggregators, with a solid understanding of fabrication deliveries and sign-off criteria.
- Proficiency with EDA suites: Cadence Virtuoso, Siemens Calibre, and Keysight ADS.
- Scripting ability in Python, skill, Bash, and/or Perl.
