About the Role

The IC Team is responsible for the design and test of integrated circuits operating at deep-cryogenic temperatures and interacting with qubits. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of technology development, creating innovative circuits to address the engineering challenges of implementing large-scale quantum computers in silicon. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, involved in all stages of the IC design cycle, from initial concept to volume production. As a Principal EDA Engineer, you will support design teams primarily using a design flow that combines analog flows with commercial PDKs and internally developed add-ons. You will collaborate with other EDA support engineers as the teams expand.

Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining all EDA environments within the company.
Managing EDA team resources across multiple projects and teams.
Collaborating with design and layout engineers in the tape-out flow to ensure GDS quality.
Managing the interface with the foundry for ASIC fabrication flows.
Supporting design teams by providing technical expertise on tool usage and workflows.
Developing scripts to automate and improve design processes.
Debugging EDA issues, including raising support tickets with tool vendors.

Requirements

15+ years of experience supporting the delivery of CMOS ASICs in advanced PDKs.
Demonstrated experience interfacing with foundries/aggregators, with a solid understanding of fabrication deliveries and sign-off criteria.
Proficiency with EDA suites: Cadence Virtuoso, Siemens Calibre, and Keysight ADS.
Scripting ability in Python, skill, Bash, and/or Perl.
